Since 2015, I have been an assistant director and camera operator for DelFest, a bluegrass music festival based in Cumberland, MD. I have had the pleasure of filming and directing sets for artists such as The Del McCoury Band, The Travelin' McCourys, Trampled by Turtles, Tyler Childers, Greensky Bluegrass, Sierra Ferrell, Billy Strings, Old Crow Medicine Show, String Cheese Incident, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, The Wood Brothers, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The California Honeydrops, and countless other performers.
After graduating from Allegany College of Maryland, I accepted an internship with a major healthcare company and spent four years developing a library of internal videos that outlined the day to day processes of over thirty different micro departments.
I am well aware of just how boring that sounds, BUT the skills I honed during that time would grow to form the foundation for Maria Hite Media. I interviewed associates from every department in order to better understand the purpose and significance of their roles in the company. I would then script, film, edit, export, upload, organize, and update these videos as needed. Working by myself on a project of this size was a daunting task at first, but I soon developed an efficient workflow that I still use in projects today.
Now, my work primarily focuses on live music, documentaries, weddings, and promotional content, but I am open to collaborate on any project you, your business, your band, your friends, or your wacky, cool grandma has in mind.
Contact Maria Hite Media to discuss your project and learn how we can help bring your vision to life.
